E-Reporters
We are seeking qualified, trained E-Reporters to report depositions and trials, arbitrations, public hearings, town meetings, and committee or board meetings. E-Reporters digitally record the speakers, swear in the deponent or witness, receive and mark exhibits, and digitally log exhibits, code who speaks when, and take pertinent notes.
Stenographers
Boston Court Reporters seeks experienced interactive real-time stenographers to join our team. Applicants must have a proven track record of performance. Call us immediately about joining our team or freelance assignments.
We provide all supplies and services. Deliver transcripts by e-mail, receive immediate answers to any questions. Boston Court Reporters will take care of the printing, photocopying, binding, mailing, invoicing, collecting. Just email us the completed file and we'll do the rest.
E-Reporters for Non-Legal Reporting
Boston Court Reporters seeks experienced audio technicians who are capable of efficiently managing large corporate or university reporting assignments. Medical advisory board meetings, venture-backed scientific meetings, and specialized conferences and university symposia are typical examples were there are many participants, interactions are rapid, reporting is demanding, and equipment must be coordinated, delivered, and set up hours ahead of time.
Our audio technician-reporters can quickly set up ten to twenty microphones (podium, table, lavaliere - wired or wireless), mixers, digital recorders, PowerPoint projectors, loudspeaker(s), connect a Polycom to outside telephone lines, and efficiently report the meeting. Diplomacy in coordinating with the onsite meeting planner, the in-house A/V staff if required, and the participants is a prime requirement. Cell phone access 24-7 and reliability are mandatory. Outstanding applicants have a proven track record of on-site experience with a wide range of audio and video equipment. Experience with off-line editing and our audio enhancement software is a plus.
E-Transcriptionists
Boston Court Reporters also seeks experienced legal transcriptionists to convert audio-recorded, digitally-logged proceedings to computerized e-Transcripts.
Applicants should be detail-oriented and familiar with e-Transcripts, popular word processing software, and certain case management software (some training is provided); be facile with computers and electronic transcription equipment. Experience in particular scientific, medical, legal, or technical specialties is a plus.
Editors
Boston Court Reporters' attention to detail requires that each transcript be checked for accuracy and formatting. We seek assistants who can review documents before printing and delivering the final copy.
Applicants should be reliable and extremely detail-oriented, have a proven track record of solid editing experience, and be familiar with MS Word and e-Transcript software packages. Familiarity with specialized legal, technical, or medical terminology is a plus.
Videographers
Boston Court Reporters occasionally engages the services of independent videographers or subcontractors. Applicants must have considerable experience in shooting depositions, filming 'live' conferences and events, and have access to broadcast-quality video equipment (Hi-8, BetaSP, other digital formats).
